Our Dubai partner Black DWC involved us in the creation of a theatre built within a valley in Saudi Arabia, more precisely near the city of AlUla.
Their client, representing the Saudi King, wanted to build a cutting-edge theatre for the international audience, positioned in a spectacular location in the desert. Within such structure concerts and conventions would have taken place, and there would have been exhibiting areas too. The AlUla theater entered the Guinness Book of World Records for having the world’s largest mirrored surface.

Solution
Our company in Dubai dealt with the design and the dimensioning of the electrical system supporting such structure in the desert. Being not possible to connect to the power grid, one megawatt generators have been chosen in this occasion. We had to deal with the dimensioning of the internal system. One of our designers has therefore reached the local company on the spot, that rented the electric units and panels. In that way it was possible to create the system in accordance with our specifications.
In a second phase of the project, one of our designers carried out the design of the distribution of audio signals, videos and lights within the theater. The system required the employment of both optical fiber and LAN cables, for the distribution and control of all the multimedia systems of the theater.
